We loved the space for its private mini patio as well. The staff were all very nice and we enjoyed the breakfasts and hanging at the pool (from which you can see wedding parties coming and going from the next door cathedral). "The people who worked at Puerta Cortes were very nice. There were A LOT of flies outdoors in every restaurant and no one told us that the beaches aren't used by locals because of the stingrays in the shallow waters.... despite that - we thought it was an amazingly beautiful area. There was an issue with a late pickup on the return trip to the airport but it all worked out ok in the end."

"We loved staying at Casa al Mar! We were in an ocean-view suite. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the Malecon. Not the quietest room as it's right above the hustle and bustle of La Paz's main drag, but super-fun in a perfect location to take in all that La Paz has to offer. The lobby and courtyard are so warm, relaxing, and welcoming, and the staff is great. Highly recommend! "
