"We typically stay in name brand hotels when visiting family in the Gettysburg area, but we decided to give downtown a try this trip. We did not regret it. The hotel is lovely and so, so convenient. It was great being in the center of the action! We will choose Hotel Gettysburg over the chains when we visit in future."

"The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was tiny and the toilet felt like it belonged in an elementary school. It’s a cool old house! Staff was nice but there seems to be a disconnect with communication between the owner and them. We got several automated messages but staff was unaware of what they said. Also, do NOT spend the extra money for the “gourmet” breakfast! It’s not great and definitely not worth the price. Go to one of the cute local places instead. Overall, good… could use some improvements!"

"It was a great stay for the weekend. My daughter had fun in the pool, even though it was cold but with Maryland weather it’s understandable. The room was great and worked perfect for us. I do wish that there had been an extra blanket in the room for the pull out bed. There was a sink near the fridge which was perfect for washing our water bottles. They are under construction but we had no interruptions from that."

"Unstaffed front desk Wednesday-Thursday. Trash on floor on arrival. No in house service. Dark hallways. No ventilation in bathroom. Poor fitness center. Staff was friendly when they interacted. Breakfast marginal. AC worked fine. Disappointed for the price."
