"The Orchid Hotel it self is very nice and clean. We are returning guests for many years always staying in the Club Lounge. However this time we were a little perturbed at the very poor lack of communication. I wrote to the Hotel, via Expedia and the Hotel did not reply. Many attempts were made and same silence followed. I made contact with Expedia but they were useless and did (it was a challenge to get a 'human' to assist as Expedia has left all queries to a Bot!) a guy called Vincent gave me 'bull' about how he'll contact the Hotel and force them to reply!!! nothing although the reason for contact was VITAL INFORMATION. I had to get my cousin staying in India literally to bombard the Hotel before they finally responded. So they finally resolved my concerns regarding collecting my 90 year old mother and sister from the Airport. However, they were insistent on a payment of 2000 rupees although it say clearly that 'drop of was complimentary' however, according to the assistant manager that collection is NOT free and is payable. After a 'drawn out' complaint they reduced the charges to 1500 rupees. Good points, the Hotel did help and make the stay very comfortable so thank you. I find that speaking with people below Manager level are rarely helpful and always try to prove a point. They are usually very difficult to deal with, as was the case. Good Hotel pity about the staff."

"Great breakfast! Very helpful and responsive staff. The shuttle service to the airport was great! The driver went an extra mile to help at the airport particularly there was a person with mobility issues. On his own he contacted the airline so that they could send a wheel chair out to the curb. That’s greatly appreciated!! Haven’t experienced that outside India."
