"I've stayed here before great location, friendly staff...really nice to have a pool and a restaurant on the property. Room rates are reasonable. I'll be back again"
"Room was clean beds small for family of 4 some staff helpful, front desk not able to answer most of our questions about surrounding area or other services at hotel (ex. Valet parking). Overall good stay for 1 night."
Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton
8/10 Good
"The hotel was beautiful and classy. The rooms were very nice and clean. My one complaint was the lighting - it was SO dark. There are no overhead lights in the room, just two very dim lamps. But not only that, they have some sort of tint on the windows AND the mirror so you don't even get natural light. I was trying to do my makeup in the mirror and it looked like I was trying to do it at 8pm with no lights on, but it was noon. This is such a minor complaint but it made it difficult to get ready. Other than that one thing the rest of our stay was lovely and comfortable."
Placemakr Downtown Pittsburgh at The Pennsylvanian
10/10 Excellent
"Yall I would stay here everytime if I could. The hosts were fantastic and so helpful, the room was immaculate and had a washer dryer which really changes a long trip for the better. Only issue is parking. GPS will take you to a back parking lot connected to Amtrak. You cannot get in from there without help. Main parking is up a hill then underground and hard to find or get to then at least fifty a night. Rather absurd. You cannot park our back and use back entrance by Amtrak once you check in and get codes but the door don’t always work. So just save the number listed on that unmarked back door. The ladies up front are very kind and helpful and can let you in."
"The guest room was beautiful, quirky/fun, and very clean! The restaurant/bar had good service and is really pretty, but the wine selection was terrible (no normal Pinot Grigio or Sauv. Blanc that wasn't dark yellow/oaky) and were very expensive $16-$18/glass. The food selection at the Commoner was very limited so we never ate there, but we did sit at the bar. The coffee service in the morning in the common area was very good. The social hour 5-6pm was nice, but again...poor choice of wines. Chardonnay should never be the only white offered. The front desk was extremely helpful and room service was good as well. Worst part - it took 50 minutes to get our car from the valet. Let them know at least an hour before you want your car!"
"Front desk workers were very friendly and helpful. This hotel was clean and had large nice spaces in rooms and lobby. The breakfast was good. Very close to Children’s hospital which is a super plus for early appointments. We will definitely stay again."
