Beach Hotels in Western Mountains, Maine

"Think of low budget Dirty Dancing and that's basically the resort. Other than private home rentals, they have monopoly for that area. They did replace mattresses from 5 yrs earlier, a huge relief. Don't expect typical hotel services (e.g. no daily housekeeping unless you ask each day by 9 a.m. tho not a guarantee!) no in-room phone, so obviously no room service, no elevator, VERY old bathrooms, faucets, etc. Noise from surrounding rooms pretty constant. Too bad as grounds are lovely. Great...

"Had a single night stay at the Hampton Inn, Lewiston Auburn. The property is clean. The staff is what really made the difference. I must say the front desk people who checked us in more excellent and a big shout out to one of the housekeepers Ray. She was absolutely wonderful with my five-year-old daughter who was leaving the pool and a bit upset about it. She put a smile on her face. Thank you so much."
