"The hotel itself was great and we enjoyed our room. Some of the concierge staff wasn’t as great, unfortunately. When we checked in they didn’t ask us to pay, gave us our room keycards and sent us on our way. We assumed we’d pay at check out, like we’ve done other places in the past. When we left to walk around a bit and came back our room cards didn’t work, so I went reception and told them. They said it was because we hadn’t paid yet, something they didn’t ask us to do at check in. We had all our critical prescription medication, passports, etc, in our room as well. Instead of calling our room right away and informing me that they forgot to ask me to pay up front, they fully locked us out of the room. They even saw us leave for our walk and didn’t inform me then! We got our keycards after I paid, so that was done. On the second morning of our stay, we went out again to explore and came back to inactive keycards again. I went to reception to tell them, the woman checked and inferred that the new keycards were activated for only two nights instead of three. We got another set of cards. To me this staff experience is unacceptable as a visitor. I’m sure it doesn’t happen often but it shouldn’t happen at all as it can ruin a first impression and sour the overall stay. I will say that the rest of the staff was great."

"Staff was great except the Manero restaurant was awful when it came to service and ordering a wagyu steak from the hotel since they don’t serve it. The hotel charged me when the Montero staff refused it . Had they told me I would’ve left the restaurant and ate it at the other restaurant especially when having a high profile guest visiting and joining me for dinner"

"It is a traditional hotel as it has the "Hotel scent". It feels luxurious. I had a spacious room and it was very well-airconditioned. The bed was bigger than a king size bed which was a surprise. I used the gym and it has the essential equipment. I tried to go to the pool but it was really busy. Overall, I had a great stay in this hotel."

"A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in August and it was a nice hotel. Location is 10/10. Beautiful and very walkable to absolutely everything. Dining options galore. The property itself is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was very cute but it was very small for two people. We had a large terrace but the terrace was almost as large as the room. The air conditioning could not cool the room down no matter what we turned the temperature to, so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable. Bathroom was extremely small, even for one person. There is a very small pool on site - more of a large hot tub size. Location 10/10. Hotel property 10/10. Hotel room 7/10."
