"i usually enjoy staying at this location, however over the years it seems the property is lacking in upkeep. it feels very dingy, dated and old, despite the renovations — which are nice. i do like that they have laminate flooring in the rooms as opposed to carpet. but, there is only 1 elevator, omg soooooo slow. the bathtub/shower drain was clogged, so the water reached past my ankles by the time my shower was done. gross, so gross. everytime you flushed the toilet, it stayed ‘running’ so you have to call maintenance everytime or fix it yourself. ugh. annoying. they don’t use an actual duvet cover; they use a top sheet, the duvet, and another top sheet overtop — 😵‍💫. so the unwashed and exposed duvet has seen many guests. the stairwell also smells like dog pee. so you’ll smell random air fresheners or sprays randomly to mask the smell. there were kids running through the hallways at midnight, parents shouting down the hallways —?? housekeeping is absolutely fantastic. front desk staff are more welcoming than the city centre location. i did pay for a 1pm check out, and at 1:01:00, the front desk is calling your room telling you to check out. i get it, they need to prepare to next guests, but ONE MINUTE after the hour??? wow. not sure i’d stay again or recommend to friends "

"My stay in Hyatt Place was wo comfortable that it felt like home. What made a huge difference was the mattresses that they have in their rooms. It was so comfortable that i was able to have a good night sleep in the first night of my stay which was VERY RARE. I loved the gym there and used it very often. The breakfast was good too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean."

"The room wasn’t cleaned well, there was an old contact lens on the floor of the bathroom, the bathroom shelves weren’t wiped down, there was grime on the wall near the garbage can and the headboard had something red splattered on it. I gave the front desk photos and they were very friendly and appreciative of the feedback, however because we booked through Expedia and had paid already they said there wasn’t much they could do. They offered free snacks and drinks to take home. We didn’t notice the issues until the next morning because my husband had just had surgery and needed rest, so we basically went straight to bed after arriving. I feel that if we had noticed and mentioned the issues the night before, they would have been very accommodating. After this experience I’m more likely to book directly with hotels rather than using Expedia."
