"The side entry pod was at the bottom of a quiet row. It was surprisingly well appointed with one of the best showers I’ve had when staying away for a long time and a comfy bed. The site itself had a fab shop with everything you could need. Will look to stay again when I’m in the area."

"I booked this hotel as it was advertised with restaurant and room service, but the restaurant was under refurbishment so neither of these were available (I was not told in advance). It also meant that I was woken up very early on Sunday by noisy workmen. I went as a treat to get some R&R time, but it was noisier than being home with the kids, and without the restaurant, it meant that instead of a nice easy meal, I had to head out to find something. I booked a Superior Pearl Executive Suite, expecting it to be modern like the photos, but the room was very tired and dated. One of the curtains didn't close fully, one bedside lamp didn't work, the carpet was thin and damaged, the remote for the heating/AC didn't appear to do anything, the old sash windows let in a draught and gave no insulation to the noise outside, the mattress dipped on one side, and there was an incredibly loud constant humming noise (possibly from the adjoining room's AC) that was unfortunately loudest around the bed area. I was looking forward to a peaceful lie-in, I had the room booked until 11:00 but checked out at 8:15 because it was just so loud. The young man at check-in was very friendly and welcoming, there is free parking, and it's only a short walk into town. Maybe I got a room that hasn't been refurbished yet (although I did pick the Superior option) and if I'd known about the restaurant situation I would not have gone. No food service AND noisy construction does not equal a relaxing stay."

"Tv was a nightmare! Huge screen but on Tuesday I couldn’t turn it off or mute it so had a terrible night. Emergency phone number didn’t respond. After new batteries it still wasn’t working properly. Needs a technician. I’m an elderly solo guest so really missed the tv. I have requested some financial compensation."

"This was an unexpected find...and I shall be back! What a thoroughly enjoyable evening and stay over! I was working in King's Lynn and looked for somewhere central to stay. This popped up and showed a great value room for my night! I arrived late afternoon to a warm welcome...had to ignore the bar as I had some work to do, and so was taken up to the room...or should I say rooms! I had a beautiful suite overlooking the Market Place and the Minster! What a treat. There was a large open plan Kitchen/diner/lounge with a load of antique furniture [fitting to the style] and a modern kitchen area [fridge/oven/dishwasher/kettle etc and all the necessary equipment]. Down the corridor was a spacious shower room, and then in the middle was a large double bedroom with a roll top bath - just amazing value for the money. After completing my work I toddled down to the bar for a []few] pint[s] of well kept Directors - a pint I had not had for many years. I ordered the ribs which were excellent - although there were at least 8 other things I might have chosen - including the chop of the day! Also if you are Gluten Free - there is a huge choice! Had an excellent night's sleep, and departed early! As I say - I will be back!"

"Basically an overnight stay in the area which appears sparse in terms of quality hotels. Paid £111 for a room only with the quality being on a par with travel lodge at more than double the price. Food at the Tulip Queen was over priced and poor quality, which saw me pay £29 for a very small starter, cheese burger and a cask ale. Shocking really. I won't be booking again. Room was small and very basic, very uncomfortable as well as the two bags of cement portraying to be pillows. Avoid if you can"
