The room was nice. Everything was clean two things that I did not like I booked at the end of January just so I could get a room that’s not on the first floor cause I hate being on the first floor and they gave me a room on the first floor and everything was already booked even though I booked ahead of time and the second checkout is at 12 PM. It was 930 housekeeping kept knocking on the door banging and we were trying to sleep so I did not like it, but other than that, it was clean. Customer service was good. Front desk was nice.

The lady that was checking me in had the worst attitude. I was checking in the hotel after driving for 4.5 hours, my booking included parking, breakfast for two and internet(I paid extra fee for these). She told me I need to pay for parking, I told her I had it included with my booking, the attitude became worse, like she was doing me a favor by “reverting” the parking fee for this one time(I already paid for it through Expedia!) - I never had ANY issues like this by booking through Expedia. She didn’t point us in the direction of where our room was located(realized we were on the wrong side of the hotel by the time we’re walking out of the elevator. The internet was awful, couldn’t connect my device to stream from the device to the TV, breakfast is atrocious choice between yogurt parfait and a pastry(when asked if I can replace pastry with an egg or two - I got refusal). The bathroom in our room didn’t have a working air vent - think anyone using a bathroom and or shower and the smells just stay there. I’ve stayed in Courtyard Marriotts before, in different states, but this experience has been the worst. Still have “temporary” hold on my card. But nonetheless, I will be avoiding Marriotts on my future travels just because of this one stay. Atrocious.

The Expedia description made it sound like breakfast was complimentary so we were disappointed to find out otherwise. The "restaurant" had one worker and our evening tater tots took almost an hour. My teens were excited to play games by the fire pits that were highlighted on the website, only to find out they were out of service during our stay. The rooms were great though! We've never given a bad review in any of our Expedia stays but wanted to express our disappointment.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I was so disappointed in the Courtyard that I felt compelled to write a review. Let me start by saying the Courtyard has, in the past, been my reliable hotel for low-key travel. Affordable, clean, and well-maintained. This experience was different. The staff were very friendly; however, the room felt very neglected. The furniture looked like a wild animal had scraped off the varnish. The sheets felt like sandpaper, super thin and a little dingy. The couch was so dirty that we were afraid to sit on it. The room gave me had a general "ick" feeling. I've always liked a courtyard, but this was far below the standard I remembered. My friend's room had no air conditioner, and apparently, they were aware of that and put her in the room anyway. Overall, I would not give this stay a good rating and would not stay there again. The experience has left me feeling leery about Courtyards by Marriott going forward. Cutting corners to save money can also cost you customers!
