"I was hesitant to stay at the Rio after seeing some negative reviews on social media and elsewhere. However, I was incredibly pleased with the cost of the stay compared to its value. I chose a King room in the Masquerade tower, this is the tower that has not been recently renovated. I expected the worse. - I was completely wrong. The hotel, elevator, hallways and room were all clean and smelled clean, unlike some budget hotels (Excalibur, Circus Circus etc.). The room was HUGE, the bed was incredibly soft and it was hard to get up from my mid day naps lol. The staff was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. I even had a package delivered here and their facility was closed, they sent someone to grab it for me. They were upfront with pricing letting my know that there was a deposit being placed on my card for the length of my stay. The dining options were great as well, the prices were a little pricey, but that's to be expected. The food choices where your typical burger place, chicken tender places, a ramen place and a cheese steak place to name a few. All were around $15-20 a person for a main dish and side, I was given a water cup but its self serve soda machines. I did not spend much time in the casino however it was not inundated with smoke like others. Outside of that, the only downside would be the location away from the main strip. During the summer it would be difficult to walk anywhere and you'd need a car which is an added expense. "

"It was an amazing stay! The staff is super friendly and helpful. We stayed mid week and they were very accommodating so we could check in before a massage we had booked at Paradise Massage nearby (walking distance if you are used to the heat). The room was clean and had plenty of space. The windows are tinted pink but there really wasn't a view from the room we stayed in on the second floor so I felt like the pink kind of helped diffuse the nearby buildings with a/c units on top and parking garage making it more pleasant. A breakfast was included each day with our stay and is offered via a voucher to the restaurant onsite. There are about 5 different options from a special menu. We had the 2 eggs with sausage, toast and potatoes both mornings and it was very tasty. The Aroma Barista Cafe onsite offers all kinds of pastries made onsite including several types croissants, quiche and even gluten free muffins which were delicious. The pool is small but mid-week it was pretty much empty so we almost had it to ourselves and it was relaxing. The Ahern is locally owed so as as locals we are happy to see the work they have been doing to reinvent to property. The staff was happy to chat to tell us the history of the hotel and they seemed to enjoy working there so it gave a bit of a family feel vs what you see at most strip properties. It was a great experience and I highly recommend checking it out. We are planning to stop by for pastries and coffee at the cafe soon!"

"Very safe and quiet but far from everything "

"The main thing that I liked about the property was that it was really private. I liked the fact that it was quite and not a lot of people, at the exception of the pool, which was packed on Saturday and there was a lot of activity going on. The amenities where good, although I would recommend adding decaf coffee to them. An inconvenience that I encountered was that, when I was trying to log in to the WiFi the name of the network didn't show up and when it did, it had weak signal. Other than that my stay at Tahiti resort was relaxing and comfortable. I give it a review of 4.5 out of 5 "
