The rooms are so outdated. It smells really musty and wet in the rooms like mold. Beds are super hard.. The staff when we check in are very rude and try to rush you. When you call they rush you off the phone before you can ask your questions and hang up. Overall I would never stay here again!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Coffee maker shut down, but staff were attentive and picked up McDonald’s coffee.
Breakfast was really good...
Would like to have fruit and yogurt option at breakfast...
We arrived at 4 PM and the room had not been cleaned. We were asked to return in a half hour. When we returned, the room was still being cleaned. After we moved our belongings in, we noticed that the bed was not level. One of the legs was broken on the frame. The manager wanted us to move into a different room with a smaller bed and not the suite (without changing the price). The housekeeper brought stacks of phone books to prop up the bed. As the evening progressed, we noticed there was no extra toilet paper or tissues. We went to the front desk, but no one was available and no one answered the page. The jacuzzi tub was dirty, as was the sink and around the faucet. The heating was either cold or sweltering. When it came time to go to bed, it was so bad - the mattress was very lumpy, with a leaning towards the middle so much that we kept rolling into each other. The lighting was strange. There were no lamps by the bed. The light switch by the bed turned on lights by the jacuzzi. The light by the door turned on a light by the window and a switch across the room turned on overhead lights. Overall, it was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.

Property had salt water pool which I have never.experienced before
Easy to find and quiet
Difficulty chrcking in with travelosity reservation. Our first room was in complete disarray. The matress and box spring were standing against the walls, piles of sheets on the floor, bags af garbage on the floor. They switched our room, but the dresser was full of water in each drawer and only 2 towels. The pool and hot tub were rusty red with a sign that said they have iron in the water but it is ok and the pool only had a ladder to get in and out. Not handcap or kid friendly.
I was forced to stay here after Econo Lodge cancelled my reservation because of a mix up in dates so the cancelled my entire reservation and forced me to go stay elsewhere. This place was nice and much much better customer services than what I received from EconoLodge
Was very satisfied with the room, service was even better, would definitely recommend from my experience, plus the rate was affordable which made my stay overall a great night, thank you Howard Johnson!
Got exactly as advertised, comfy bed N with a McDonald's located literally next door made the morning a great start 2 my day. Would definitely recommend, especially 4 the price.
The desk worker was friendly and efficient. The hallways smelled like cigarette and pot smoke. The room was clean, and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. We had to put a towel by the crack under the door because the pot smell was moving into the room.
The breakfast is basic and only consists of carbs.
The pot smell was gone from the halls in the morning, and the hotel seemed nicer in the light. Still, we would not go there again.
Poor front desk service, dirty room (have pictures for proof), there was a man rignt out the main entrance using drugs, poor lightning in the pool room, hot tub water was green, very little choices for breakfast
At 3:35am the front desk gave someone else access to my room. They would have gotten in except I had the deadbolt locked. The staff didn’t care, the breakfast consisted of waffles and cold cereal. I would definitely not recommend this property. Awful!
Everything was horrible , the front desk at check in didn’t let us check in at 2 pm....later still when we checked in was rude and horrible . Horrible .
Horrible
it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city but it was accessible to the main areas of shopping without having to google , one street drive to get to the shopping areas
need to update the just a little but the staff we dealt with where friendly and answered our questions there was a pool that looked clean the lobby was clean
If you are looking for something cheap with a pool then this works. Rooms are smelly, bathrooms very rusted and outdated and you feel a little uncomfortable walking around.
Room was disgustfilthy Chair in the room was badly stained and torn with stuffing coming out. So dirty I would not sit on it. I advised front desk and they told owners about many complaints but they will not do anything. Bathroom was so dirty I would not take a shower. Never would stay there again . That hotel should be shut down.
When you walked in from the outside, you are greeted with an unpleasant odor. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and helpful, which was the only positive experience we had with staff.
The rooms are dark, with a single flickering ceiling lamp at the back of the room ( we had adjoining rooms, and both were the same.
The pillows were old and flat, bedding old and very thin. Windows had mild growing around seals.
Bathrooms literally had piles of dirt in the corners, not small piles, about 2 inches long and an inch high. Mentioned it to the lady at the front desk, and received a smile...only one bathroom had a floor mat for after showering.
Beds were made after the first night, but that was the only cleaning done, also commented on that at the desk, and were told that there was a vacuum availableif we felt the room needed it. Who knows if the rooms are vacuumed between guests if that is the attitude.
Continental breakfast- there was no fruit, no coffee, the waffle machine was out of batter. Also not a concern for staff.
Smoke detectors have been removed from the rooms, and the wires from where they once were just hang from the ceiling, if there was a fire, was there a backup system which would explain the removal of the detectors??
Thought Howard Johnson was a reputable hotel chain...will second guess myself before booking at one in the future. Also wish I knew that I could upload photos for this review, would have taken some of the room to prove my poin!
