"What a lovely property!! I booked through Expedia but they called day prior to verify check in. I mentioned my birthday and when I arrived I had a lovely surprise! A birthday treat was left in our room. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable we ate one dinner at the attached restaurant and it was amazing. The bar was lovely with fireplaces to warm our bones! Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Although I didn't ultimately stay at Hazelbrook, I would like to commend the manager, Graham, for his professionalism & resilience, in twice finding alternative accommodation when it proved not to be possible for me to stay there, then understanding when my own plans changed at the last moment. "Staff were really friendly and the food was good. However the tv in the room was quite small....would have expected a bit better for the cost of the room. There was also rubbish behind the tv unit, so that obviously hadnt been cleaned very well. We also got woken multiple times in the night because of drunk people outside and then delivery lorries at 4am. Overall our stay was good but I dont think we would stay in the hotel again."
