This resort is located on one of the best beaches in Watamu. The staff is fantastic. Janet accommodated our late check-out and went above and beyond when our AC wasn’t working. We will definitely be coming back

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Kobe Suites. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It is a well-designed hotel on the best stretch of beach in Watamu which is also part of the nature reserve. When we dined in, the food and drink was excellent and moderately priced.

Enjoyed the stay. Shame about the room.

Pros: Lovely staff, low key laid back (non-intrusive) beach club vibe, good restaurant, great views and good sheltered pool at back. No sight of the curio market and the massed sun beds on the beach in front but slightly to the left of the hotel. Cons: A rock hard mattress (which, when we checked out, they said they would have changed if we'd asked). Room is large but has the colour, charm and minimalist feel of a concrete bunker. No hot water came through the shower, which had to be fixed. Immediately, behind the room (Room 18) - about 3 metres away - there's a fence, the other side of which is an industrial-size washing machine which thunders into action twice before 7.45 a.m. and continues afterwards.

A lovely beach resort where you can relax and feel safe. Staff were very attentive. The restaurant served delicious Italian seafood dishes. The pools and beach are gorgeous. I would return.

Sehr schöne, ruhige und moderne Unterkunft mit durchweg freundlichem und aufmerksamem Personal. Die zwei Salzwasserpools sind groß genug und es sind immer genügend Liegen vorhanden. Der Strandabschnitt vor dem Hotel ist bei Ebbe wunderschön mit klarem und flachem Wasser, sodass man über freiliegende Sandbänke weit ins Meer laufen und trotzdem baden kann. Etwas schade, dass deswegen täglich zwei bis drei kleinere Ausflugsboote hier anlegen um diesen tollen Strand zu genießen. Bei Flut war ein Baden bei uns nicht möglich. Das Frühstücksbuffet sowie das Abendessen ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Abends kann man aus mehrheitlich italienischen Gerichten aus der Karte wählen. Es gibt jedoch auch eine Auswahl an internationalen oder afrikanischen Gerichten. Da die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen ist, muss man für den Transport nach Watamu auf Taxis oder Tuktuks zurückgreifen, diese können jedoch vom Hotel organisiert werden.

Albergo carino, le stanze sono grandi, si mangia bene ed è ben curato. Essendo un albergo per famiglie ci sono molti bambini (rumorosi). Il personale non è sempre stato corretto nei nostri confronti: durante la colazione avevamo ordinato un espresso che, solo a ora di pranzo, abbiamo scoperto essere a pagamento senza che ci fosse stato comunicato prima. Inoltre, in fase di check out, il totale da pagare era sbagliato in quanto erano stati addebitati costi aggiuntivi legati a consumazioni non effettuate; dopo averlo fatto notare, non c’è stato uno scusa, ma anzi abbiamo dovuto controprovare con tutti gli scontrini (che ci eravamo tenuti) che quelle consumazioni non erano state effettuate.

Amazing stay - hard to leave!!

Really great hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful, food was delicious and rooms/area around the hotel was lovely. Kobe is on a really nice section of the beach - perfect swimming out to the sandbar. Lots of tuktuks/motorbikes outside the main gate if you need to get anywhere. Can't wait to go back.
