"The reviews are accurate, but in hindsight, i would have preferred to stay in a less remote location. From this site, I thought i had a private bathroom, but it was a shared bath on a different floor a decent walk away. The room was small and sparten with no place to put your luggage, but it was immaculately clean. The hotel is charming, but i didn't like that the only place to hang out was the restuarant and you could not bring outside food or drink there or to your room. Overall, it wasn't a social enough scene for a solo traveler (inside the hotel or out) and I could have found a place with a private bathroom at the same price."

"If you want to explore the "old city" of Bangkok, this is a very good hotel for you. You can walk to the Grand Palace, The National Museum, The National Gallery, Thammasat University,The Queens Museum...you can walk to the river boat cruise...as well as places like Adhere the 13th Blues Club - a very cool place. Himalaya Coffee is nearby - lots of coffee shops etc. I wanted to save money so I took a room with no air conditioning, but the ceiling fan was good enough. Good bed, roomy room, cleaning if you want it, hot water in the shower...and you can find places to get your clothing cleaned. I was also able to find a place on 2 soi Samsen toward Samsen itself where I could take a mini-bus to the airport at the end. The only problem was the spotty wifi - I think you can pay them for really good wifi, but what I did was to get a new sim card with unlimited minutes and I used my cell phone's hotspot for wifi when the hotel's wasn't working. In sum, if you want to save money and explore the Old City - this is the hotel for you. "

"My go-to hotel in Bankok. Lovely staff, great rooftop pool and bar/restaurant, convenient location right next to express and tourist boat shuttles. Across from side street to Khaosan Road and restaurants. Local bus right in front, also 3 7-11s on the block. Can’t ask for anything more."
