"The room was ok. Walls were gross tho, lots of residue splatter on them. We bought our own cleaner to ensure the jacuzzi tub was clean before we used it. The bathroom was ok. Shower didnt look the cleanest tho. Breakfast was ok. The make your own waffles station was fun. We found the eggs to be too runny tho. Staff didn't greet us, unless we needed help from the desk. The great thing was their location. There was everything closeby. Overall, it was an alright stay if you're looking for an affordable lower rate to pay and a warm spot to get some rest. I feel that we wouldn't stay there again tho. "
"Can't beat the price. The hotel and rooms seemed very clean. No parking fees, close to the highway. Front staff were very kind and patient. I would definitely stay here again.
Reasons I didn't give 5 star rating
We were told at check in that breakfast started at 6am. Next morning at 6 we went down and the front desk said it doesn't start until 7, but the vouchers they give you say breakfast starts at 6. This was an inconvenience only because we had to be somewhere by 7am.
The pool is very small but wasn’t busy so my kids had it to themselves.
The issue I had was with the room attendants. They were swearing and yelling as well as telling inappropriate stories to each other while cleaning rooms which would not have mattered except you could hear them while walking down the hallways and waiting for the elevator. I found this to be unprofessional and inappropriate especially knowing kids are walking the halls.
"
"Great experience. It was the slow season so there weren’t a lot of people there. We enjoyed several of the coffee shops, restaurants and spa. The staff were amazing "
"Honestly a perfect spot for the night and in the middle of our travels. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast was actually good with many options. Shout out to Summer who greeted us. She was very kind and insightful on where to go in Barrie in terms of shopping. Only note (which wasn’t a problem for us, I just forgot to mention it as we were leaving) was our bathroom at times smelled like cigarettes. It didn’t affect the whole room but was something we noticed, and was probably someone sneaking a smoke in the building unfortunately. Like I said it wasn’t a problem for my family and I, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and will rebook in the future when we’re in the area."
"This motel is excellent. Our room was clean and had all the amenities. Kitchenette was well equipped. Very bright room as it was on a corner, 7 windows in our 1 bedroom unit.
Will be staying there in a few weeks again.
Thank you."
