"The room blankets at staining on them
Upon check-in, I was told to wait cause she was texting. I was not happy about that breakfast ended early so did not make that plenty of parking."
"Duane is an extremely gracious host who goes above and beyond with every guest who stays at Grunberg making sure everyone has what they need. The inn is extremely clean and the property is extremely well maintained. Stay here if you can!"
"Just a lovely place! It was quiet and cozy, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The staff were very nice and I had two good meals in the restaurant. I'd definitely return."
Capitol Plaza Hotel Montpelier Tapestry Collection by Hilton
8/10 Good
"Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the Montpelier Capitol Plaza Hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was well-appointed and spotless. The staff provided good service and were friendly throughout our visit. The attached restaurant was convenient, but the prices were on the high side. My only other very minor complaint was the elevator, which was extremely small and earned the nickname "death closet". Despite those minor drawbacks, I would happily stay here again."
"This B&B is definitely at the top of the hill, on unpaved roads the last mile, with a gorgeous view from the house. We were surprised upon arrival at the lack of "welcome" signage indicating that we had arrived at the right place, no indication of where visitors should park, lack of a sidewalk or paving stones leading to the entrance, and miscellaneous stuff stacked on the front porch. Inside, in the reception area, was similar - stuff stacked all over. The room was very nice with a luxurious bathroom and spa tub, more gorgeous views, a comfortable king-sized bed, and comfy floor coverings; blinds worked well to keep the morning sun at bay. Coffee was available about 7:45 a.m. and I enjoyed it on the deck. Breakfast was fruit compote and yogurt, eggs, cooked to order, with a generous serving of bacon, and rustic toast. If you're a light sleeper, you should know that sounds from the kitchen/dining room are quite audible in the king-room until well past 10:30 p.m. I suspect it's less of an issue in rooms that are not directly above the kitchen."
