Very old bar with hotel above. Old furnishings and very soft bed springs under a soft but new mattress Room just big enough to fit a queen bed: had to move luggage back to the car after unpacking a few things as there was no room for two to move around. Small bathroom at end of hall. It was clean and the owners seem to be working hard to do what they can with this old place, but still it is it is well below today’s hotel standards and it seems a losing battle. To call it a “backpacker hotel” would be generous. Dinner was good and several different good beers on tap in the bar.

Really really great country pub, the rooms are great the showers are shared but clean has a kitchen area if you wanna do your own thing however the pub meals are very good and cheap

Relaxing stay at Bischoff. Good location.

Good stay at Bischoff Hotel on business trip. Old style hotel with refurbished rooms which were comfortable. Owner Andrew was an excellent host. Meal was very good. Small town Waratah was scenic and easy to walk around.

Lovely stay, pub was very lively when we went. Staff were enthusiastic and helpful. Had to use the shared bathrooms but they were very clean. Small town but food in the pub was great and affordable. Was quiet at night, good opportunities to view wildlife (playptus, ducks, wallabies etc) in nearby parkland.

Waratah is a very small and quiet town. We stayed for 2 nights so that we could drive to Cradle Mountain easily within 45 minutes each way. The room we stayed in was a queen room with ensuite. The whole room basically was very clean. However, it was so small that we could only stand in the room or sat on the bed. The bed was comfortable but the quilt was dusty. The staff are nice and helpful.

Nice place about 40 minutes drive from Cradle Mountain. It was great to have the pub/restaurant attached. Aside from the wifi being a bit patchy, the accommodation was great.
