The rooms are very nice, and the food in the pub was excellent. The only negatives were that the only breakfast available mid week was some pastries, which I must have missed on booking, and with the shower on hot, it was tepid and the bed was a little soft for me. Overall. Very good though.

Worth the drive to this out of the way village!

Lovely innkeeper. Beautiful room in converted stables. The food was fabulous…hands down the best of our trip. In fact dinner was one of the best meals I’ve had in years!

The star inn offers an excellent service especially for visitors travelling with dogs. We were allocated a room in a barn renovation. It had a clever mix of high specs renovation and rural feel to it. The staff were very generous with their time and attention to us. We ate at the inn on our first night and the menu was top rate which included a majority of fresh locally sourced produce. I would highly recommend for anyone passing through this area. Very good value for money.

Il faut aimer le calme car cet établissement est dans un hameau en pleine campagne anglaise Par contre bâtisse rénovée offrant des chambres cosy sous comble. Silencieux et confortable l'établissement offre aussi la possibilité de se restaurer (auberge/pub) Très bon petit déjeuner anglais.

Cute hotel tucked away in the countryside. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bed. My only niggle is that the breakfast is too small, but that has more to do with my appetite than anything else! I’d stay again

Comfortable stop over aeay from the madding crowd

An overnight stay for business. The Star provided a warm, friendly stop over with some good ale, good food and comfortable accomodation.
