"Great pub, rooms are in an adjacent building with separate entrance so no noise issues. Lots of parking and a lovely location. Friendly and helpful staff too."

"Just got back from a 2 night stay. Absolutely charming place to stay staff were so friendly and helpful. So close to the Center just a brief stroll down the lane would definitely come back to stay again. The dog loved it too"

"I arrived later on in the evening so reception was closed.
Contact number was provided on the door, which I called and was quickly guided to the location of my key to gain entry.
Room was really homely and clean.
Hotel has a car park onsite.
I didn’t eat or drink at the hotel but they do have a bar."

"The ground floor room was comfortable and adequate for our two night stay. There was some traffic noise from the busy main road, but it wasn’t too much of an issue. The hotel is situated close to the bus stop where there are frequent buses into the city centre."

"I enjoy a hotel that makes you feel like the location… not some generic place that looks the same in every location. The Porterhouse was great in that regard, made me feel like I was in Oxford. Clean and comfy room and great location. Staff was great and helpful in every way! Breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay again!"

"There were not enough staff in the Restaurant or the Bar.
At Breakfast, tables were not cleared; Food items not replenished etc. Staff were trying hard though it seemed.
Only one person at the Bar at one stage who had clearly not been trained sufficiently e.g. she did not know how to open a bottle of wine with a corkscrew and it broke."
"Generally good, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and parking was easy and plentiful. It's a take of two halves though; whilst the hotel was perfectly adequate in terms of cleanliness, staff, location, etc, the room I had was in one of the neighbouring buildings, which wasn't a problem in itself but the grounds looked very neglected, especially the view through my window to the rear (overgrown/unkempt, bags of garden waste that had obviously been there while, etc), and the landscaping in the parking area at the front, which left a poor impression - though the ease of access and parking was a positive. Carpets in the hallway and room were starting to look dated. The room itself was in some ways well appointed with a microwave and fridge (though I only stayed one night so needed neither) but at the same time was very large, with a lot of empty space (just one seat in a double room) and a fixed desk - a couple of more comfortable chairs (and maybe even a small coffee table) would have made it feel less empty.
Overall, I'd stay again if I were in the area as the basics were there and the stay was perfectly adequate, and I appreciated the microwave and fridge, but it could really do with someone looking at the details; there's a lot of potential for it to be much better."
"My stay at Bicester Golf Club Hotel & Spa was genuinely enjoyable. The property is calm, well‑kept, and offers a comfortable experience across the board. The facilities are clean, the rooms are spacious, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. A special mention for Molly, who we met every morning at breakfast. She was consistently exceptional - warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. She remembered small details, checked in proactively, and made each morning feel welcoming. Her service stood out and elevated the stay."
