This was one of our FAVORITE stays during our four week trip! The staff is AMAZING. We interacted with Petr the most—he was phenomenal. He makes all the desserts & I can’t rave enough about the cheesecake & tiramisu. The hot tub & pool & sauna were all great! Definitely should have made time to utilize the gym. Because the dining area is so comfy, we opted to have all our breakfasts & dinners at the hotel and could not be more grateful. Thank you for making our mother-daughter trip so memorable! Also must mention, we watched the lunar eclipse from our balcony and it was something we will cherish for the rest of our lives! Thank you!!

Loved everything about our stay. The pool has been a hit with our kids! The pool is cold for adults but kids haven’t seemed to mind. Our room is nice and clean and the coffee every morning from reception is a great wake up.

Ski gear beware....

Hotel was fine. However the warming rooms for ski gear are not monitored and the hotel is not responsible for gear drying there. As it happened, my ski boots were taken by another guest of the hotel, which cost me one day skiing, and the cost of replacing my stolen boots, so my recommendation would be to not use the gear room at all. The hotel should at the very least install a CCTV camera to monitor these rooms, because there are thousands of dollars worth of gear in there. Not very happy, and it left a sour taste to the end of my ski holiday.

The property was good, just a little out of town for our liking (had to drive to get food, etc). Plenty to do in the area, about 1km walk (one way) from the Wanaka tree. Property is slightly dated inside but clean and well maintained. Great pool area for kids including a slide.

A good place to relax

Everything you need, with a restaurant, pool and more. The rooms are modern with everything you need to make some basic meals. There isn’t a kitchen sink, but there is a handy pop up portable basin to wash dishes in so you don’t have to use the bathroom sink.

What a gem! We loved the heated pool & hot tub & slide. We used them each night in winter! We could walk to the Wanaka tree & the lakes edge. Town was a little bit farther, so we took the car, but it is walkable if it was a little warmer. Our family appreciates 2 bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent a day skiing at Cardrona and the drive was easy. I highly recommend this property!

Friendly staff welcoming on arrival and departure, but not trained in the multi tasks they were expected to do e.g. reception staff also doing bar work, unable to mix drinks. The property is good with excellent facilities, but there is a lack of attention to detail e.g. build up of dust in rooms which will eventually lead to poor cleanliness, tables and seating in communal areas with food crumbs unattended to over 2 days, external pathways and staircases left unswept with buildup of leaves and garden debris.

Pathetic and poor, stay away

This hotel is a poor excuse for one. There was no room-service in the six nights that we stayed. They are only interested in you joining a "Club Wyndham" membership. The dishwasher didn't work. The front desk staff even asked us to bring back the plates from room service. This place is not worth the money. I can never stay here again. It's probably why it's not linked with Ramada any more.

This stay is part of a longer trip exploring New Zealand. Even though it was a little way out of the town centre (a 20 minute walk) it was ideal for us. The area was stunning, and so relaxing, we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a smashing stay.
