"A very special property. More of an oasis inside the city than a “hotel”. An easy simple walk, even with luggage, from JR Rail/Bus drop off. Compared to the tiny hotel rooms of Tokyo, Yokohama you will not believe how spacious Dormy Inn’s rooms can be. Make sure to take advantage of their wonderful casual breakfast. "The rooms are old and a bit depressing due to the brown colors. However, the windows open for fresh air, the moderate size twin is quite big, and there is a big supermarket in the basement. It is also very close to the train station. Extremely convenient location but rooms seriously need updating."

"The hotel room was terribly dirty. It seems no one cleaned the room after the previous chek out. Fortunately the bathroom was nicely cleaned. There were here on the pilow. There was dust on the floor. Someone's ornaments was also there in the rooms. Overall the room was not clean at all."

"The staff were very kind and looked after my luggage as I arrived in Wakayama early. The hotel is very close to Wakayamashi station and easy to find. It is also close to the castle and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel has rental bicycles which were only 100 Yen which was cheap and convenient. The hotel seems like it needs to be updated as it looks a bit old in places, however it was very clean. It was very good value."
