"We spent 1 night on Vulcano in the really nice Pensione La Giara. It is conveniently situated on a relatively quiet street on a little over 5 min walk from the port, and on route to the path ascending to the vulcano. We were in two neighbouring bedrooms with shared bathroom for both rooms, which was perfect for our family of four. The owner on arrival advised on the trip up the vulcano and on nearby restaurants. "Hotel was well presented with attractive gardens and pool overlooking the Bay of Patti. All staff were friendly and approachable. House keeping was excellent. We had dinner each evening and whilst the food was a good standard, service was occasionally a bit slow. We needed to pre-order dinner for the next evening which was a shame. We would be happy to stay agian."
