"This hotel was probably very nice 30 or 40 years ago but quite tired. Staff is minimal and I waited for over 30 minutes to checkin. Then went down to use the
spa at 1800 and no people were around. No towels. Another guest said after 1800 it was necessary to go to the front desk for towels. No staff around for another 30 minutes. Several of the
spa facilities were shutdown or not functioning. The whole reason I went to this hotel was that it was rated as 4 star!! It was far from a 3...

"I stayed at Grand Hôtel Bristol for one night and had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable — just steps from the Colmar train station, which was so convenient after a long day of travel.
The lobby had a warm, charming feel, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful, especially at reception. My room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, even though the building itself is older, which actually adds character.
The room didn’t have a view (it faced the back buildings), but I didn’t mind because it was quiet and relaxing. It’s about a 20–25 minute walk to the Old Town, but I really enjoyed the walk — Colmar is a beautiful city.
Highly recommend this hotel for both convenience and comfort.
