Glacier Haven Inn

"The folks that own the Glacier Haven are absolutely wonderful people. They went out of their way to accommodate an elderly disabled gentleman by asking us if we would mind moving to a cabin at no additional cost to us. The cabin was in the campground and was wonderful. When I went to purchase firewood she made a deal with me and sold it half price. We had a great three night stay while visiting Glacier National Park. I highly recommend this place as it simple but everything was very clean and it's very convenient to the both the east and west entrances to the park."
Glacier Alpine Lodges

"We loved this place! My son and I stayed here while visiting the east side of Glacier. I let him have the larger loft room, as it had a tv up there, and I prefer to read. It was a bit of a challenge climbing the ladder up to my bed, but that made the stay even more unique!! It was perfect for our 3 night stay. We played the National Parks trivia game that was there our first night there, great game! I can't imagine a family with children staying here as it is very tiny, but was perfect for the 2 of us. I guess it depends on how much you like each other! We did have a slight snag with checking in. We arrived at 2:30, but found out the door code would not open the door until exactly 3:00, so we stood around in the cold for 30 minutes. We would have gone somewhere in the meantime, but there isn't a lot to see or do in East Glacier. All in all, I highly recommend this place. It is a bit of a drive to St Mary entrance, or Many Glacier, but isn't that why we are here.............for the beautiful scenery!!!"

"Just loved this beautiful property and lovely cabin. All was very clean, breakfast utensils provided in room, and the cabin and site were peaceful! Convenient stay for exploring Glacier NP and has been used as a base for park exploration by numerous people in my family over the years."
Glacier Homestead

"Everything was just perfect here! As a solo traveler, I felt safe and had a good night of rest. I enjoyed being able to have coffee in room, and the outdoor kitchen worked perfectly to heat up some oatmeal I brought for breakfast. It was also really close to the southern entrance to Glacier, so that was perfect. I would stay here again if I’m ever back in the area."

"I’m glad stayed there. Pretty. Clean. Tight parking. Tiny bathroom. Bottle opener posted by front door. Check in down the road. Within walking distance of restaurants. Staff was very courteous."
Many Glacier Hotel - Inside the Park

"Stayed here for 2 nights in July with family. Positives: Gorgeous setting. Swiss-like esthetics. Loved that you could walk to the trails and not worry about finding parking before beginning our hike(s). Ate at the lounge restaurant and it was very good. Also thrilled to have a coffee shop, snack shop available. If able to, go to dinner one night at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn restaurant (just a couple minutes away driving) then walk down to Fishcap Lake (nicknamed Moose Lake). It’s about a 5-10 min easy walk. We visited this lake 3 times and saw moose 2 of those times. When visiting after dinner around 7, it was like the animals were paid actors. Deer all around, birds, beaver swimming, and a huge, bull moose. One of the highlights of the trip! Negatives: a small hike is necessary to get to the parking lot. There is not dedicated guest parking, so during the day the lot fills fast due to others not staying at Many Glacier wanting to use the easily accessible trails. During the day, it is hard to find parking. It was not a problem when we left for dinner and returned in the evening. Our room had a balcony but the bench and floorboards were covered in bird poop so not really usable. Shower was tiny and room definitely was warm for sleeping with no AC (but expected—it is July at a national park lodge, afterall)"
Lake McDonald Lodge - Inside the Park

"We love to visit NP lodges and Lake McDonald lodge did not disappoint. The staff from check-in to check-out were friendly, very helpful and always listening for ways to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. We ate onsite at the Fireside Dining Room and Lucke's Lounge--food cooked to our request, service consistent, and prices reasonable considering location. The lobby is inviting with the beautiful lantern lights, the fireplace with etched stone and a variety of comfortable seating. And most important, the views inside the lodge and outside are outstanding. Our accommodation was a small cabin and we enjoyed looking out our door and seeing a path to the lake. We took the Western Alpine Red Bus tour which is a great way to see the western side of Going To The Sun Road without driving. Jammer Bill provided humor and fun as he shared the history of the road."
