" Very warm and cozy place! Love the design of the resort and staffs super friendly and helpful! The furnitures are kinda breaking and shaking… the dinning table on the deck was barely holding it together. Coffee maker was so much dirt and residue! But stills love the place!! "
"I would look elsewhere if I were you. We had rooms 145 and 155, and both were dirty when we arrived.
In room 145, I honestly do not think the bedding had been cleaned. There were many — and I mean many — black curly hairs in the bed. We ended up stripping all the bedding off and using our own blankets instead.
In room 155, there was blood on the pillowcase and the sheet.
On top of that, the pool area was disgusting. I understand that a few flying bugs around a pool can be normal, but this was far beyond that. There were so many bugs in the water it looked like soup.
There were also never any towels available at the pool. Every time we asked, the staff were rude and kept saying the towels were in the dryer and would be out in a minute. An hour later, there were still no towels, so we finally just went to housekeeping ourselves and took enough for everyone at the pool.
I would choose just about any other hotel over this one. I would ask for my money back, but I already know that would probably be a battle. If you stay here, be prepared for dirty conditions and very poor service."
"This hotel is in an unbeatable location right outside Zion, making it the perfect base for getting a head start on the park trails. The surrounding mountain views are breathtaking, and the property is an incredible spot for watching the sunrise, sunset, and even stargazing at night. The highlight of our stay was definitely breakfast at Porters; it was by far the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever experienced. While the beds were very comfortable, our stay wasn't perfect, as we booked two rooms and one had a strange smell, while the other had a towel stained with makeup. Despite those housekeeping issues, the convenience and the food would still make us consider staying here again.
Also there is a shuttle connection to zion right outside the hotel."
"Great location, nice room, friendly staff. The only downside is the pack-n-go breakfast. Nothing is fresh and It’s full of high sugar items. Note that lobby closes at 9 pm."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham La Verkin-Gateway to Zion
4/10 Poor
"My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham La Verkin Gateway to Zion in La Verkin, Utah was disappointing overall. We stayed for four nights. While the breakfast and hotel amenities were good, housekeeping and cleanliness were well below expectations.
I generally like La Quinta hotels and have stayed at many locations, including this hotel twice before, which made this experience especially frustrating. We checked in on Sunday. On Monday, only the bathroom was cleaned and the beds were not made. On Tuesday, we specifically requested full room cleaning at the front desk, but when we returned that evening, nothing had been done - trash remained, towels were on the floor, and beds were unmade.
When we raised the issue, the night-duty front desk manager was dismissive, said that this was neither her responsibility nor her job and told us to speak with housekeeping directly. Housekeeping later claimed the room had been cleaned and even accused us of refusing towels, which was untrue - I had personally gone to the front desk to get towels due to the lack of service. The room was finally cleaned on Wednesday, but we checked out Thursday morning.
This is otherwise a nice hotel in a great location, but the housekeeping during our stay did not meet expectations."
