"Nice place, clean"

"Everything was great, extremely clean, staff very polite, area safe & really close to cruise port. Bed was much firmer than my liking, that’s my flaw not the hotel. Outside door was left open at times, rules need to be adhered to, why have a key card to enter if the guest don’t keep the door closed when exiting & entering. I have travelled the world & this Hotel was one of the best. Also restaurants & small market just a short walk."

"I loved my stay here at the Hotel Miramare ! The room was very clean and fresh with the bathroom, clean as well. I had a room overlooking the Adriatic with lounge chairs and enjoyed a relaxing ( but cool) evening outdoors. The restaurant had a very good tapas type menu. I had the baba Ganoush as well as the meatballs and they were wonderful ! Pricing was very good for the food as well as the drinks. The breakfast the next day was amazing with a full continental breakfast including cheese, cured meats, coffee, croissants, etc. While it is a bit outside of Trieste proper, parking was free ( compared to crazy driving and parking in the city ). I would recommend taking the 6 bus into the city as the bus stop is only a short distance away and is only a few Euros. The staff was wonderfully accomodating from the front desk to the wait staff. Very pleasant stay at Hotel Miramare ! "

"We loved several aspects of our Suite: the location, the historical façade and ambience, the quality of bed linen and the fact that we were on the 5th floor which was bright and airy. Also, full marks to the Hotel Continentale staff who were incredibly helpful - they cannot be faulted. Our big problem was that to all intents and purposes the advertising for the suites leads you to believe that they are fully equipped ie similar to an aparthotel. They are most certainly not...on arrival we were surprised to find no dish soap, tea towels, toaster, decent cutting knives, chopping boards, salt/pepper, oil - I could go on. We have stayed in aparthotels round Europe and these are considered basic. On speaking to reception they do not view the rooms as apartments, simply large suites with a kitchen, pans, washing machine etc. It doesn't really make any sense, especially given the pretty high price. The hotel staff were great and helped out with a few bits and pieces as we had planned to cook for ourselves because my wife has a health condition which makes it difficult to eat out. The hotel needs to decide what it's actually offering and make it clear to potential customers; at present we believe the advertising to be misleading. This should be sorted out. On smaller points, coffee pods in the room are charged at 1 Euro - penny pinching when customers are already paying a substantial amount . Also, the air conditioning was faulty when we arrived though it was fixed eventually."

"The hotel was in a great part of town and close to the water. Very convenient to walk to several sights and the train station. Being my first time the staff was very helpful with recommendations and my departure travel. Can’t wait to come back."
