"The price equals a nice mid-range hotel in Aarhus or Copenhagen, so this being in the countryside with generally lower prices we expected something at least at that level. However, we were a bit disappointed. Very confusing check-in. The reception was closed even though it wasn’t even 20.00. Quite difficult to get an iron we had been promised by e-mail beforehand. It should be in the (closed) reception. Eventually a couple of polite but confused young staff from an onsite restaurant helped us. Most staff seemed to be teenagers or at least quite young. The hotel was large but without any atmosphere. The room was a nice size but very basic. Not even a kettle and some tea. No effort to make it cozy. Not what you would expect for this price. Continental breakfast in a charmless restaurant. Had the room been e.g. 500 DKK cheaper there would have been a better match between price and quality/service."

"Friendly staff did everything they could with the little resources they have. Wine list with no actual wines to pick beyond the house wines. Don’t use the restaurant and eat somewhere else but come and experience a stay back in time. "

A hotel with an ethos - to quote their website " We create jobs for people who are outside the traditional labour market but want meaningful and stimulating employment, on their terms and with a focus on inclusion. " It showed in the care they took at the front desk for guests. Due to a problem with my phone I had not received the text I should, but was treated very politely and very warmly when I arrived after check in time. it definitely doesn't have the corporate feel, but nor a B&B feel - just a small business with a good heart feel. The room was comfortable (single with bathroom). I had been concerned that since there was a busy restaurant the evening might be noisy but in my room I could not hear any of the restaurant noise. Single bed was very comfortable. The room decor is in keeping with the heritage of the hotel and recently refurbished. Lovely and clean. Breakfast the next morning was simple (range of choice narrow) but what there was extremely tasty. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a (slow) car charger in the car park even though I had not seen it on any map. I would definitely stay again if in the area."
