"This hotel is very nice. The views from our room on the upper terrace were amazing. However, with that came the long steep walk up and down to get to the “bar” or restaurant. The room was very clean and ac worked great. You need to ask at the front desk if you want a hot pot and instant coffee for the room. The walls are kind of thin and we had a very loud group in the room next to us one night. The bar really is not a bar. It is a couple of booths in the corner of the restaurant behind a few curtains. The breakfast was very good. The food in the “bar” was just okay. Did not have the dinner buffet. With that being said we would definitely stay here again. "

"A fantastic B&B in Peso de Régua, beautiful property in the Duoro Valley. A bit of a walk to town, and would Not recommend walking as it is up on a hill and walking up will be exercise! Fine for us but not for everyone. Nestled above a beautiful river valley and in win country. Great staff to help."

"Torel Quinta da Vacaria was the most beautiful and best stay in Douro Valley. The hotel was an architectural marvel, with its state of the art spa to the most spectacular views of the river. "Excellent hotel, first impression very good the reception team, due to our Platanium membership upgraded the room. They also helped in staying an extra night and keeping same room and arranging a wine tasting and lunch at the hotels winery 10 minutes away. Bar and restaurant serve great food and drinks and you can look over the Duoro river from both, and also eat and drink on the terrace. Rooms comfy and spacious - fabulous hotel to explore the Duoro - Pinhao is just 25 mins drive away. We had a great time here"
