"The location is average and the service is acceptable. Although the room is quite spacious, the soundproofing is very poor—you can easily hear normal conversations from the neighboring room. Fortunately, I booked a unit with a large living room, so I was able to sleep there the next night."

"No Ac in rooms!! Although the description mentions ac included so this is totally a misleading. The staff always try to make excuses they say AC works only on summer time but we stayed at April when the temperatures are already 25 degrees, and windows cannot be open fully, only 20cm. Breakfast was decent, but opened at 7am although their info shows 6:30am and their excuse: “are you sure you go to the right place?” We are not stupid and there is only one restaurant. Overall we were very disappointed "

"Lovely historic building located in the heart of Gaia. We booked a suite and had an amazing view over the Douro River and onto Porto. Everything was easily walkable and the city has so much too see and do. We even did some port tours and got a reduced rate through the front desk. Breakfast was delicious and made to order with tons of choice and wonderful coffee. The only downside to our entire experience was the noise of people coming in and out using the stairs and that our suite was right beside the common area/breakfast area. I would definitely book again but probably not the suite. "
