Le Balamina

10/10 Excellent

"We were very kindly received at the reception desk after we „survived” a deception on our arrival in Porto Vecchio, because the owner of the apartment we had originally booked pretended that he had cancelled the booking, which was not true. The staff at Le Balamina made us feel safe regarding our stay in Porto Vecchio. We also had a delicious continental breakfast. We can‘t but recommend this Hotel which is not far from the port."

"Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is outside the town centre so it’s best to have your own transport - there is free on-site parking available. If you do then drive into town … go early, or you may find it difficult to park because it gets very busy. The hotel’s pool area is great and well-maintained - towels are available from reception (cash deposit required). The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room (to keep drinks cold)."

"rganised and unmotivated. Tables often remained uncleared for more than 15 minutes while guests waited for somewhere to sit, or ended up clearing tables themselves and searching for cutlery, cups, or glasses. The breakfast selection was equally disappointing and far below what one would expect from a Radisson Blu hotel. There were virtually no Corsican specialties, only two kinds of industrial cheese, very limited fresh fruit, and melons that were so hard they were practically inedible. "Staff were welcoming and the room was spacious with nice view of the pool and gardens. Internet wasn't super strong and we had to keep reconnecting. The hotel is away from the big resorts down the beach but not far enough to avoid the very loud music coming from the night clubs which kept us awake until 2am. Nice family place but the loud music spoiled our stay."
