"My wife and I randomly booked this accommodation as we were looking for a place in the country side close to both Firenze and Bologna - and it was great! The place is in a remote but stunning location and the room was very clean! The hosts were so kind and friendly, giving us hugs and local recommendations which we appreciated. It is a lovely place to stay if you want to be in peaceful and quiet place but want to be around an hour drive away from bigger cities. The breakfast was also lovely. Just some things to keep in mind. This place is on a farm with lots of horses, dogs and chickens so if you are allergic it might not be an ideal place. I have allergies but the room was so clean I didn't get any reaction though! The room itself we stayed in was beautiful and clean but didn't have any kettle or mini-fridge which would have been nice to have. There is a communal fridge you can use though. Overall a great experience and would recommend."

You knew you had help from staff if needed but they definitely gave you space to enjoy your own time. We have shared this place with many people in Australia and they can’t wait to visit themselves! "Our hosts Marco and Natalia were brilliant. We stayed during a stage of the Giro and had a great time. Marco provided a warm and friendly reception including tasty and delightful meals, promoting the excellent local produce. The location of the hotel was beautiful and a great base for the area. We followed up on the great recommendation to visit Casieficio Dismano for the best Parmesan cheese."

"We wish we could give 10 stars! This was one of the most amazing hotel experiences we have ever had across multiple trips to Europe. Not sure how we fell into this boutique gem but glad we did. Clean, well maintained, beautifully appointed, everything is modern and works as expected! The location is ideal to explore Pistoia. The train is a very easy 12 minute walk. There is a breakfast available for 12 euro. Well worth it! My wife is a 4 shots of espresso girl over ice. They didn’t flinch and didn’t disappoint. Can’t say enough about the staff. From Llario to Leonardo and especially Matteo they answered every question with careful thought. We felt like family was taking care of us. Before we arrived they arranged a driver for us to get to our next destination. Not easy when you are traveling in a group of 7 with too many suitcases! If you are thinking of Pistoia then look no further than Palazzo 42."
