"We stayed 2 nights at the Lodge and 3 at the Club. Food and drinks were a good value for a resort as most everyplace we've been for the past month have been. The rooms are nicely decorated with the Club being more contemporary. The staff have all been great. My biggest negative was the sewer smell at the east end of the Club pool. Both days there was also a backhoe operating so maybe it was working on the problem. The game watering hole at the west end of the Lodge mostly has had Mirabu storks...

"We had a wonderful time staying at Shongwe Oasis. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and made sure all of our needs were attended to. Our room (honeymoon suite) had a comfortable king size bed with mosquito curtains around it, large bathtub and both indoor and outdoor showers. The pool is a great place to get some sun, although I would recommend using it in the morning or lunch time as it does get leaves and seeds falling in it throughout the day (cleaned in the mornings). "As a new hotel, they are working out the bugs and completing the overall construction - but it is a beautiful property located in a rural area. As they are new, the name and location was unknown to others working in tourism, which made it a little difficult to find by taxi. Arranging transfer with them is therefore recommended. "Miombo Mews is a recently built apartment rental. Due to its recent completion, the rooms are in excellent condition and offers plenty of amenitites. The provided stove (complete with cookware) allows you to either cook your own meals and also boil water with the tea kettle to add to the provided filtered water and any water bottles you may have.
