"Nice staff clean rooms"

"We checked in & the girl was a bit difficult to understand, but no problems. The room was a bit disappointing. The floor felt like it wasn't swept, no towels at all. There was no clothes hanging bar nor any extra hangers as in most motel rooms. We didn't have a desk/chair in the room & was told if you didn't have a kitchenette , you shouldn't have one. The front office gave my husband a difficult time about the towels as if we did something with them. We were there a week & they came by & asked if we wanted clean towels twice, but housekeeping never came in to sweep or anything. We also had a broken coffee maker in the room they were supposed to switch out & never did. On a different note the pool was really nice. Cold, but nice. The beach was close in front. Extremely beautiful beach. Couldn't have asked for anything better as far as the beach goes. I could have stayed out there listening & watching the waves forever. There were shops & restaurants within walking distance as well. Oh, yes they had a little tiki bar... no food there (the kitchen was apparently in disrepair). Drinks were delicious."

"The room itself wasn’t the best- smelled a little moldy and the shower was absolutely terrible. i couldn’t wash my hair because there wasn’t enough water pressure. it barely rinsed the soap off of my body. the staff was extremely nice though!!!"

"The beach and access to the beach is the best. What I went for. Poor is in dire need of a good scrubbing. Moldy. The room has hardly any outlets. Could not take a bath. No way to hold water. When you shower the water fills for lack of clear pipes. Small refrigerator and small microwave. They tell you you will get your deposit and early check out refund but does not seem so. I was told the next day or two. Don’t believe everything they tell you"

"Our stay at Palmetto was nothing short of amazing! We had booked a reservation and didn’t know they had 2 properties, assuming they saw the disappointment when finding out we were across the street, the sweet lady at the front desk instantly informed us of an upgrade that not only was bigger, but was beachfront with an awesome balcony view. Of course we upgraded, & was so thankful for that decision! Every staff member we saw or come in contact with was so friendly & it wasn’t because the job required it. It was genuine! The cleanliness of the whole property amazed us! The parking was even great! The pool/hot tub was cleaned every morning, and the fact they have one indoor pool and one outdoor pool was very convenient! We are already booked for our next trip! Definitely recommend booking a reservation with this property!"

"It was hard to find parking and the hotel needs an upgrade. The beach view was perfect and easy access to the beach."
