Comfort Inn & Suites Verona at Turning Stone Resort Casino
10/10 Excellent
"The property was exceptionally. The staff was extremely helpful, and kind. I enjoyed the stay. Rooms were spacious, and beds very comfortable. Convenient to location to where visiting as well."
"Overnight, very nice room but no microwave (could not reheat coffee purchased at concession stand in lobby). For a hotel/casino disappointed that breskfast restaurant did not open till 9 AM. Had to leave properly for a sit down breakfast."
"Nice day it's very convenient location I've stayed before when is Utica never really have any issues. The only issue this trip (which really has nothing to do with the hotel) was there was a large industrial truck of somebody staying at the hotel and it was parked not too far from my door and it ran and cycled all night which was really annoying unfortunately keeping the fan on in the room did most of the noise but it really was quite obnoxious."
"Overall, our experience was okay. Only one interaction with staff upon check in. She was efficient and polite.
Our room was clean enough, very small bathroom. Continental breakfast typical.
I recommend this facility as a lower cost overnight stay."
Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Verona Turning Stone
8/10 Good
"Title: Friendly staff, but room conditions and amenities fall short
This was my first time staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Verona Turning Stone for a short family trip.
The Good:
The front desk staff was consistently polite, kind, and courteous throughout our stay. The common areas looked very clean, and the initial welcome was great.
The Issues:
Unfortunately, our room and the hotel amenities had several notable problems:
Maintenance & Heating: Upon arrival, our room door was extremely difficult to open, requiring a call to front desk maintenance. On our second night when the temperature dropped, turning on the heat blew a strong smoke smell into the room, making it unusable. Staff said it was just from disuse, which was disappointing.
Bedding & Mattress: The fitted sheet kept slipping off. When we removed it to fix it, we discovered the mattress was heavily stained and extremely uncomfortable.
Entertainment & Wi-Fi: The internet connection was very poor, and I was unable to connect my Fire Stick to the TV, which was a major disappointment for evening downtime.
Amenities: Having only one washer and one dryer for a 95-room property makes laundry practically non-existent. Additionally, while we saw a pool on site, no details or guidance were ever provided about guest access.
While I appreciate how sweet and helpful the staff were, the room comfort, Wi-Fi, and property upkeep definitely need improvement."
"Room was nice and clean.
There was some loud thudding from doors shutting hard, and our dog would get startled because of it, It honestly is a great place."
