The room was very clean even though it is an older motel. The staff were excellent in meeting our needs. We had to have staff come help with the tv as there was not a remote to turn it on.

Excellent stay

Absolutely fantastic service. The staff worked with us throughout our extended stay and made us feel right at home. Walking distance to so many restaurants and other attractions. Highly recommend!

This was a good spot to stay after my visit to Dinosaur National Monument. Hot shower and a comfortable bed was just what I needed. I'm a deep sleeper so I didn't have any problems with noise as others had described. The staff were all very friendly and kind. This was my first time in Vernal and everyone I interacted with was friendly and kind. Awesome place!!

This is a modest older motel, but well worth staying there. In the heart of town, but surprisingly quiet. Easy walking distance to stores and museums.

The Sage is a perfect eco motel to stay at before a multi day river run. The bed is like floating on a dense cloud of air. So comfy! The staff is incredibly nice and wants you to have a good experience. I’d stay here again!

Great location needs some renovation.

The service was decent and the rooms and premises were clean. The building is not in great condition and I was concerned about the light switch in the bathroom being nearly in the shower and it did not appear clear if it was a GFI switch so I just didn’t touch it after I turned on the light my first day.

We had stayed here years ago, when it was a cheap, basic but acceptable place to stay the night before a river expedition. When we showed up this time, it was a different place, more like a residence for "underhoused" folks and some who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. The bedding and carpet had stains, and the floor of the deck had rotted in places. We had already paid but left to find another hotel.

Price was cheaper than other options. Building is old, room was not clean (dirty tv remotes, stain on conforter, fridge smelled terrible, etc.). Things didn’t work (blinds broken, A/C rattled, and one of the lamps wouldn’t turn on), and internet was so slow it was unusable (tested at <1.0 mbps consistently in the evenings). Found a homeless man sleeping in the laundry/ice room one of the nights. Will not stay here again!

This is a humble property. We arrived late and found it dirty. The bed was good and the bedding was clean. The floors and toilet base were very dirty. We asked for another room or to have this one cleaned while we were out. There was an effort made. The rug in front of the bed and a small portion of baseboards were cleaned. It was apparent the room cleaners did not know how to clean and sanitize the room. Second day there was no room service. We had to retrieve clean towels. This will be on our list of places not to visit again.

Let me start by saying that the staff was super nice, helpful and professional. While this is a budget hotel and there were some good things, the few bad things kind of killed the positives. The bed was terrible. A low end, old budget mattress that the put a 2" soft foam "topper" on. This only served to fold up and it felt like sleeping in a hammock. Other things were smaller issues, like no shelf or anything like that in the shower (so everything needed to sit on the shower floor) and some minor repairs needed to be done. However, they did make an obvious effort to modernize the rooms and it was very clean. The show itself was new, there were outlets available to plug things into and it had modern hard flooring. If it were not for the bed, I'd increase a star but let's face it, the bed is one of the most important parts of the hotel room. The staff is what keeps it up to 3 stars (otherwise it would be 2).

Is a well run motel with clean rooms & helpful staff. Oil industry truck traffic at night makes it noisey but you can wear ear plugs. Swain's Steak House 1 block away. Very good food/drink for reasonable price.
