The property isnt big so you have time to do things slowly and makes it more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Spa where the service is amazing and the Photographer who took some awesome pictures. The pictures was so good my wife and I ended up buying a photo package.

beautiful Velassaru

Our stay at Velassaru was amazing. We spent 12 days on the island, and did not want to leave... The level of service and dedication of the staff are beyond the words. The hotel is ideal for family or romantic getaway. The island is very small and that makes it really quiet and peaceful. You can see Male as it is really close by, but on the other hand you don't need to spent extra hours for getting to the island. Highly recommend this hotel to all lovers of the tranquil holidays.

Velassaru Maldives did not disappoint. Beautiful waters and tranquil sea made swimming enjoyable. Property is kept in pristine condition. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Farahun from housekeeping was amazing. I looked forward to returning to the room after he was done organizing it. If you’re looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience, I definitely recommend this place.

One of the Best

Our stay here was exceptional, the staff and Chef Wasantha (Vela restaurant) catered for all our needs. Our booking was made 2 days prior to flying out, the staff arranged all our airport transfers without any issues. Food, location and accommodation was excellent. the proximity to the airport made the whole journey a pleasure. Will recommend the Velassaru, the staff were very caring and catered to all our needs. This island and the resort is an absolute dream that came true. It is relatively small and you can reach everything by foot. The beaches are astonishing and the water is incredible. You can borrow snorkeling equipment from the hotel and enjoy a lot of different fish types. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and we felt very welcome there. The food is really delicious and the service top level. Sometimes the waitresses can maybe wait a little bit to clear the tables because we were not finished with our meal yet.

Resort allowed illegal feeding of stingrays/sharks on shark excursion. Manager didn’t apologise and acted unaware of the laws. Overall there was a lack of welcome, lack of management presence. This was my 4th trip to Maldives. The resort has no house reef, no coral whatsoever and little vegetation in the sea so very poor snorkelling at the resort . You literally could only see one or two fish from the beach when snorkelling . Water was chargeable even when paying for full board . Because we complained to EPA about feeding of stingray we got a less than warm goodbye

Our first visit to Velassaru was magical so we were gutted when our second visit had to be cancelled due to the pandemic lockdown. We finally managed to book and we're so glad we did because they have managed to keep that level of quality up there. Velassaru is a luxury resort which means its priced as such but your so spoiled with gorgeous beaches, excellent service and a range of different restaurant options to cater for most tastes. And of you don't find what you like, the chefs have no problem going off menu to accommodate your requirements. We're still in love with this place and will be going back. Highly recommended.

Super schöne Natur Insel auf der man zur Ruhe kommt und jeden Tag die schönste Kulisse genießen kann. Wir ernähren uns vegan und waren von der Auswahl beim Buffett zufrieden, aber haben uns etwas mehr für das Mittagessen und den Nachspeisen erwartet. Da gab es ein Reis-Gemüsegericht und Nudeln. Herzensempfehlung ist das Shark-Snorkling und den Sonnenuntergang in der chillbar zu genießen.

Where do I begin..my husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we landed we were welcomed, the service was amazing, the island is so beautiful, the staff was exceptional who made us feel so special, they surprised us with a cake at dinner, they gave us a special treat in our room and decorated our bed.The view we had was amazing with just the sound of the waves. So peaceful and relaxing and would recommend this resort very highly. Overall experience was a memorable one. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so special! x
