"About the only positive thing I can say for this property is that it was quiet. Also the young lady at the reception desk when we checked out, listened, was sympathetic and very polite. Otherwise the negative points to this property overshadowed every thing else. The property was supposed to have Wi-Fi, and after checking in, there was NO Wi-Fi in our room, we returned to reception and inquired, their response was “well sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t”. "Hotell Gastis was so quirky with so many books and artefacts. Our room was very small but perfectly adequate. We hired bikes and visited a small nature reserve. We also went in the Leninbadet which was an amazing experience, even with the steam room not working. It was like going back in time and we loved it. There were major building works going on outside the hotel but we couldn’t hear anything even though our room overlooked them. The roof terrace was lovely and we sat there with a post dinner drink! Drinks were expensive and we didn’t eat there in the evening, but the breakfast was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay"

"I booked this hotel as it had a bar and restaurant. We arrived late and needed food. We were told the restaurant was privately booked so we weren’t allowed in there. I asked if we could get food to our room and they bluntly said no. The rooms look like girl guide cabins and if things couldn’t get worse, a load of kids stayed next door on a school sports trip and made so much noise I couldn’t sleep. Absolutely avoid this place and look closer to Gothenburg "
