"Room had many large bugs and geckos, including the biggest cockroach! When we told the staff, they just offered to kill the insects, and didn’t offer for us to switch rooms or any other services. The place feels run down. The shower is in the same area as the toilet with nothing separating them, so the toilet gets wet when you shower. One big perk is free drinking water."

"My friend and I needed a place to stay for two days until our flight. This guesthouse was very comfortable with two twin beds, en suite, dresser, tv, fridge and ac to use as required. Price was very reasonable. Yard and hotel very picturesque , beautiful woodwork throughout. And very friendly and helpful people. I loved it and would come back . "

"This was our "treat yourself" hotel and our expectations were higher in terms of the room itself. The "garden view" rooms are not really views of a garden, but rather a cement wall and rooftops with a couple trees planted. That said, the view of the mountains afar was pretty. The room was also far smaller than I expected for the price. We stayed in a lot of hotels during our trip and every room in 3/4 star hotels was larger and more comfortable. It just didn't feel worth the price in terms of...

"Really like the place, the staff is super helpful. Breakfast is basic but good enough. The area is located right in the centre of the city. There are multiple options to go for lunch or dinner. I really like to stay."
"After a month travelling across SouthEast Asia and staying in numerous 4 and 5 star hotels, this was the best. An excellent stay to conclude my vacation. The staff, facilities, food were of the highest standard. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Ideally located to allow you to work everywhere in Luang Prabang. Exceptional."
"Easy check-in eventhough we arrived very late. Very cozy, clean and small boutique hotel with 9 rooms. Location is not central its 20 min walk to main street and attractions but they have bike free to use"
"Here’s a polished version of your review:
Amazing Stay at The Orient Hotel Luang Prabang!
It was our first time visiting Laos, and we’re so glad we chose The Orient Hotel Luang Prabang! From the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely amazing — everyone was so kind and helpful. The team is a mix of Vietnamese and Lao staff, and they speak English very well, making communication smooth and easy.
The hotel itself is spotless, and the pool is wonderfully refreshing, perfect after a day of exploring. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with all the essentials you’d want to start your day right.
A special shoutout to Cuong at the front desk — he truly stood out with his warm hospitality and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay.
If you’re booking tours, I highly recommend arranging them through the front desk. The tour guides they work with are fantastic and made our experience even more memorable.
My family and I had such a wonderful time here, and we’d definitely come back. Thank you to everyone at The Orient Hotel for making our trip so special!"
