"The hosts are a friendly, experienced hostel business family. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the homey vibe. I'd like to leave two hopefully helpful pieces of advice for the visitors. If you're using a ride-hailing service, the car is not supposed to stop at the front of the house; it's better to use the spot on W 35th Ave or the back alley to get on / off. If your booked room is on the second floor and your luggage is heavy, be ready to lift it by yourself, as there is no elevator available."

"What a delightful and peaceful space! The breakfast was delicious and I had the chance to meet some other guests. The staff were impeccably friendly and helpful. There's a skytrain station just a few minutes walk away giving quick and easy access into downtown or to the airport, with stunning mountain views along that walk. The bed was a bit too soft for me but I've found hotels generally also err on the side of softness so I can't really ding them for that."

"This was a last minute book as I had a 12 hour wait at airport for my connecting flight. Thank goodness they allowed me to book at last minute as I did not want to wait 12 hours at restaurant. The room was clean, however, there is no TV in the bedroom, only in the common area. The area is in the basement of someone’s home, which I did not expect. There are two rooms in the basement with a shared bathroom. Thank goodness I was the only one there. While I definitely appreciate the short notice booking, I can tell that the space is used by the family when there are no bookings. Is not a designated space only used for bookings. They have a cat, which stayed upstairs. If you have cat allergies then this may not be a good fit. Overall, it was a very good fit for my needs. "It would be great to have shared public areas for consumers to use. Since the owners are staying home daily, it’s not very comfortable to use the living room and kitchen. The towels are also quite smelly. It would be wonderful if the heater or air conditioning were working so that there’s fresh air circulating. "
