"The hotel is currently being renovated, which I didn’t know when I booked it. Bathroom door would not open properly as it hit the toilet. Food in adjoining restaurant was poor. Staff however were very friendly, and workers doing renovations very respectful of guests."

"It’s a Fairmont and in the YVR airport, but you don’t hear any planes as the runway is parallel to the hotel and planes don’t fly directly over so it’s great. Our room had a full sized bath tub that can fit a 6ft tall man comfortably and the amenities provided in the room are full sized and thoughtful. I’m sensitive to cosmetics but didn’t have any issues with using any of them. They have a water filtration system in the ice machine room, water tastes fantastic! The pool/hot tub/fitness area is fabulous and the restaurants are beautiful. Finishings in this hotel are top level and we noticed our mattresses were replaced June 2025. Best bed and pillows I’ve experienced (other than Westin chain). Cleanliness is a main focus for this chain and it shows, along with extreme care and attention to design and honouring Mother Nature that surrounds YVR intrinsically. Room pricing wasn’t bad for last minute booking (under $350) and when you land late at night, it’s a Godsend to just walk to the escalators knowing you’re well taken care of. It’s also a “safe place” with YVR security and Fairmont bellmen always nearby and at the ready. Check in was quick and painless."

The suite we stayed in was comfortable, clean and had great views of the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again."

"I appreciated the kind, friendly and helpful service by all of the service staff we encountered. The age of specific building sections does show and it would benefit from a refresh. I stayed in the West Wing and the room was clean, quiet, and had a beautiful view of the lake. Overall a great experience."
