"Great place, great rooms, great setting. I had one of the higher end rooms and was frustrated by penny pinching measures such as food not being available on location at least during reasonable hours, or ordering breakfast à la carte and paying for it xtra. These seem to be reasonable expectations for a high end, largish resort, and even profitable if done right. The staff is great and they are genuinely pet friendly, although the pet fee was not at least clearly delineated by Orbitz. I actually regret changing hotels mid way through my stay."

"Our stay in Mendocino was excellent. The room was extremely clean, check in was seamless, breakfast was brought to our door (Wow) and was tasty. The location made movement in Mendocino easy and while the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside, the courtyard was lovely and would have been a great place to hang out. Finally, we were treated to a wine and cheese happy hour each day. The experience was worth the price of admission."
