"Location is excellent, close to bus stops, shopping, waterfront walk, Te Papa etc. Bed was comfortable enabling a good sleep each night. Staff very helpful, especially when I had trouble with using the TV. They came up to my room and showed me exactly what to do.
On the not so wonderful side was the electric jug. It might seem a very minor thing but when you are staying for several days it begins to bug you. While the base was of one make, the jug was of another meaning the jug didn’t sit properly on the base. Instead it wobbled. Also the jug was so large that it didn’t fit properly under the tap meaning you could only fill it a little. Overall, James Cook is a good place to stay."
