"The chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful and picturesque location. However we did have a problem with the bathroom door as lock was lose and on occasions we couldn't get out of the bathroom or in if the door was properly closed. On stripping of the beds as requested by the cleaning company notes left in the chalet, my daughter was quite upset to discover a dodgy looking yellow stain on the mattress protector under the bottom sheet and also on the pillows. "It might have had a lick of paint since most of the online photos were taken, but it doesn't look as though its been cleaned much since then. Very dusty and dirty in both the rooms and the bathroom. With regards to cleaning, i'd say the bare minimum has been done. You can usually tell from the corners of the room and especially the cupboard, which was quite dirty and could have been in the same condition since any renovations. Musty smell throughout too. I noted some other reviewers noticed the shower head was mouldy. That wasnt a problem for us, but the shower hose was black with mould. If it was cleaned at least twice a month this wouldnt be a problem. The check in was smooth, with a polypocket left for us on the reception counter, although it is a little reliant on trust that nobody enters your room before you. Would perhaps be better to do multiple lock boxes if the reception isn't going to be manned. Plus point is that at least it was very close to the sea front and car parks."
