Gem of a b&b

Fantastic little b&b, with lovely little touches - home baked cookies in the room and a cosy little snug with log fire, great choice of breakfast menu which tasted superb, especially enjoyed the homemade blueberry muffins, nothing was to much trouble for our hosts. The area around the b&b is stunning , based at the foot of cadet idris and next to tal-y-lln lake, highly recommend this b&b.

We have already booked our next stay!

Excellent all around. Location was great for us as we wanted to hike up to Cader Idris through the Mindffordd Path. The proprietors are very warm, welcoming and helpful. We had dinner one night which was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

Two thumbs up!

This is a lovely B & B run by a young, enthusiastic and accommodating couple. The experience was very hospitable and generous. We heartily recommend dining in during your stay. All our food was extremely well cooked, fresh and abundant. Do make sure you have accurate directions before you go though as reception on phones is sporadic. Highly recommended.

home from home atmosphere

We have just stayed here for five nights and had a most relaxing time. Liz and Simon made us feel most welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts are excellent and although there is a menu, this is not fixed and the various offerings can be adapted to taste. Evening meals are made to order and the owners just need to know at breakfast time so that they can get out and buy the items needed to make the meal - the ingredients can be discussed so that you know what you will be getting that night (7.30 pm). We would recommend this establishment to anyone. The only down side is the width of the entrance - narrow! although there is nothing that can be done without demolishing the cottage next door.
