"First, you must have a car if you plan to stay in Haro. Transportation, including taxis, are extremely limited and difficult to use. This fact is even more so if you stay at Hotel ITC Ciudad de Haro. This hotel is about a 25-minute walk uphill to the downtown area and you must cross a highway, which we were told multiple times is officially illegal. If you do have a car, this hotel is perfectly fine for a few nights, especially if you consider the cost. It is a great value. That said, don't...

"Very well appointed and located studio apartment near Plaza de la Paz. Free parking down the hill and a fifteen minute walk to the Wine Bodegas. Daniel was communicative and helpful. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper as the apartment building is on a well traveled street (vehicular and foot traffic). Overall a good place to stay in La Rioja! "

Great hotel but two easy fixes.

"Great all around. Staff is super nice and friendly. Very attentive. Two things I would fix. 1) air conditioning is not strong enough. 2) Allegra restaurant closed two days in a row can create instance where guests staying for two nights cannot eat there AND also closed on same nights as neighboring restaurants. Makes no sense. "

Peace in Rioja

"A wonderful hotel in a peaceful setting along the river. A fantastic choice to escape the noise and crowds of tourists in the major cities visited. Hotel is very conveniently located to visit Rioja's best bodegas. Staff are lovely and most helpful in arranging tours. Hotel has one minor deficiency in a curiously noisy plumbing system."

"Great location.Perfect for convenience in Vittoria. We used a parking garage in town, 10 mins walk away Everything needed is provided although we didn't have information for extra bedding for the sofa bed. Not a major issue and we did get help quickly. Not the most comfortable seating if you spend a long time in the apartment, we didn't as we did a lot of day trips. We cooked a few times and had everything we needed. "

This hotel is about a 25-minute walk uphill to the downtown area and you must cross a highway, which we were told multiple times is officially illegal. If you do have a car, this hotel is perfectly fine for a few nights, especially if you consider the cost. It is a great value. That said, don't expect a four star hotel. As others have noted, the hotel is old and has some deferred maintenance issues. Likewise, the WiFi is extremely slow so don't expect to stream anything or make WiFi calls. Finally, the staff at the hotel are wonderful. They were always helpful and attentive. Enjoy!"
