"We absolutely loved our stay in this charming hut! It was the perfect escape—incredibly cozy, thoughtfully equipped, and spotlessly clean. Waking up to the quiet surroundings was so relaxing. We can't recommend it highly enough and hope to return soon!"
"What a stay we had in this fantastic hotel (home) in between Christmas 2025 and New Year’s 2026!
Where do I begin!? Because really everything was absolutely on-point!
First and foremost the staff, every single member we interacted with was so friendly and accommodating, excellent work all of you ! The owner of this chic, super relaxed place is also very present and hands on, when owners do this it shows throughout the experience.
Location, could not have been better, it’s right close enough to everything, but set back enough to feel secluded and exclusive. I absolutely loved the style of this hotel also, it felt very alpine indeed.
The restaurant ’Winter’ was absolutely first class, I became completely addicted to the pepper steak (I had 3x!). The breakfast was also spot on. The New Year’s Eve dinner was very special they somehow managed to dish up half a lobster for everyone, perfectly cooked and delivered with style! A special thank you to Sarah for your hospitality and friendly service.
The head chef was also very involved often coming into the restaurant to check everything was in good order.
Room was great and gave that cosy alpine feel, it didn’t need to be flashy as it just gives so much in charm and character.
We totally enjoyed our time here, you know when a break has been good when you’re sad to leave!
We’ll definitely be back soon, thank you !

"A nice and quiet hotel in the city center, with simply but functionally furnished rooms (recently renovated?).
Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfasts that deserve more than the maximum number of stars."
"Stayed 7 nights in April with our son, 7 yo. It’s a ski in and ski out resort. There is a place behind hotel to rent skis if you need and you can get your ski pass online from ski star website which you can reuse in other resorts in Norway and Sweden. It’s such a relaxing place, we slept with windows open it was so quiet. The air was fresh and we also drank the tap water which is recommended. Hotel has plenty for kids: pool, fake surfing wave, bowling, kids play room, pool tables, ice hockey tables and arcade games. We had a car so went to Sweden for a day. The restsraunts are great lots of choice and you never need to be in a line. You can pre book on ski star website. Also there are restaurants on the pistes and they are as delicious and authentic. There is also a shop in the hotel if you forgot any snow gear. Pistes are great, something for everyone. We will be back !!! Thank you Trysil. "
