Expedia charged me for the one-night stay in /advance before I got to the property. When I arrived at the property, Tru by Hilton required me to put up a $50 security deposit which was charged to my account on 9/24/26, which is still in the pending mode as I write this complaint. I spoke with a host a few minutes ago at the hotel and did not get a satisfactory answer of when the pending charge would be eliminated or when a credit would be posted. I am not happy at such a surprise charge at this location. I will NOT be using this hotel again. In my opinion, Expedia needs to drop them from their network of hotels. They do not appear to very accommodating. There are plenty of other places that I can choose from who do not classify me as a dead-beat up front.

This was a new hotel. Rooms were not ready at all for guest. Breakfast was not set up well at all. Elevators didn’t work most of the time. Someone walked right in our room to take pictures & thought it was vacant. Only one small trash can in room. Towel rack was sitting on back of toilet not up on wall. No blow dryer in room. Just not all all worth the price we paid per night. Hopefully they get it together since it just opened.

There was a used microfiber towel on my nightstand when I checked in and sticky stuff on the desk in the room. I have low expectations for hotel breakfasts in general, and these failed to meet even that. No service inside the hotel, yet the second you walk outside you have full bars. It’s like they block service so you have to connect to their WiFi.
