"Clean and cozy only took much Miskitos, some cockroachs in my our room. All staff and the owner very kind and helpful. I got a car hit not far from this place they look after me so well. Taxi expensive, good expensive but we share food to local. This place is good if you have car very quiet from people 2 mins from airport. Thank you so much Clua Shalos Dorris and others "

"Loved the fruit. Wish it was served at every meal. Getting a better variety. Checking in taking over 2 hours dampened the whole stay. Love being able to enjoy doctors cave beach. Rest is just okay. "

"Overall the Riu was ok. Nice atmosphere and the workers are very pleasant. Food was descent. I think the Riu needs more visible security 24 hours a day. My neighbors were arguing n fighting one night for awhile and not a security in sight! Also the swim up pool was a little too small. Felt like we was on top of each other. There’s no room service. House keeping took my emergency bag of bars and hydration packs I travel with ( diabetic). Overall the trip was very reasonable. So I guess you pay for what you get."

"Toilet wouldn’t flush properly, kept getting clogged. Complaints were made and workers had excuses for all complaints. Robes were stained upon arrival, looks like make up!!"

"The Positive: The staff was amazing. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Make sure to take cash to tip them, they worked very hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. The food was great. We booked via email ahead of time and had reservations every night. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Even the food at the pool bar was good. The water at the beach is crystal clear. There is also lots of fish and creatures in it to see. There are small reefs just off shore so if you have gear you can snorkel right off the beach. There are chairs/umbrellas they will set up for you. The shade under the tree is the best spot. Waitresses take drink orders on the beach all day and are quick back and forth from the bar. There are shops just outside the hotel for extra items. The negative: The bathroom is open to the bedroom. No wall or door between them. For a family with a teenage daughter this was awkward. There is curtain you can pull down but it did nothing to block sound so if someone got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you could hear it. I suppose for couples this isn’t a big deal but if you go as a family it’s a little odd. The beach is connected to a public beach club. This is also where the cruise ships drop people off so it gets pretty busy. Bc of that there is a lot of trash that people just leave at the end of the day the hotel has to try and clean up, but a lot is left on the beach club side and gets blown around."
