Italian "fawlty towers"

My husband and I thought that the best way to describe this place was to compare it to "fawlty towers" with the grumpy owner that really wished he was not in hotel business and the lady serving breakfast wished she was somewhere else and would not bother talking with us in italian. For the breakfast i had to ring the bell and wake up the owner for him to open doors. He showed up with a shirt and what might have been his underwear. We were never able to access the swimming pool. All doors/gates were closed

Nous avons eu un appartement dans une villa proche de l'hôtel. 2 chambres doubles. Une kitchenette avec peu de vaisselle. Une salle de bain sans fenêtre et 2 ampoules donc assez sombre. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits et personne n'est venue faire du ménage ni même nous apporter un rouleau de papier toilette !! pas de petit déjeuner de compris. Belle piscine avec des transats. Situé au pied de l'Etna. C'était vraiment très pratique.

Lovely Location for a Get Away

Beautiful accommodations and we would go back any day! Perfectly clean and all necessities provided. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!

Excellent Restaurant

We had a pleasant stay in an apartment. There were 3 of us, so had an apartment with 2 bedrooms, however this was really a 1 bedroomed apartment with the lounge used as a second bedroom, not ideal but OK. Kitchen had most things we needed, just short of teaspoons! Pool was pleasant but we only used it once and saw no-one else using it - we had to cross a small road from our apartment to get to it. We didn't have breakfast included with our apartment, but used the restaurant on our last night where we had the best fillet steaks we've had outside of France - perfectly cooked and beautifully served. It was a shame we left it to our final evening as we'd have eaten there more times. We arrived during a local festival, so whilst Trecastagni is a small town we saw (and heard!) numerous firework displays over the 5 nights we were there - each beating any UK display I've seen on Bonfire Night hands down. Can't image how much money was spent on them all and we left before the festival was over!

jardin entretenu, appartement propre et accueillant, fonctionnel, quelques détails... des lampes ne fonctionnant pas à l'extérieur (ou pas accessibles), parking gratuit dans la rue, internet wifi fonctionne quand ça veut. piscine accessible quand il n'y a pas le cadenas. sinon, personnel et le patron agréables, serviables, environnement agréable pour se reposer après une journée de visites, balades, Etna à coté, plages à quelques KM, malgré l'état des routes, visite de Taormine, Syracuse, Noto, Catane, Piazza Armerina, Savoca, les gorges, gouffres et autres canyons, faciles sur une journée dans chaque lieu chargé de belles choses. BELLA SICILIA. ce logement a été notre point de chute pour 11 jours et nous a permis de visiter beaucoup et nous reposer sereinement le soir.

nous sommes arrivés un lundi et le personnel était en congés ce qui implique qu'il n'y avait personne à la reception donc personne pour nous recevoir.Nous avons sonné sans réponses des propriétaires, nous avons rencontrés un client qu'il l'a appelé sans réponses sur fixe et mobile. Nous avons donc décidé de trouver un autre hôtel que je recommande Villa hôtel Michelangelo à Nicolosi. Le premier jour la chambre n'a pas été nettoyé car nous n'étions pas dans l’hôtel mais dans la villa gianet qui est en face ou se trouve des appartements et le propriétaire nous a dit que normalement le ménage n'est pas fait pour ce type de logement ce qu'il a, le second et troisième jour, quand même fait. le propriétaire parle très peu anglais. Bref je n'y retournerai
