"Etna suites is nice and clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good."

"The hotel is classical European. There was air conditioning throughout the suite and both rooms were beautiful. The suite had a small refrigerator with free water and juices. There was no microwave in the room but there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Both rooms had the most beautiful painted ceilings. The shower was small but decent enough. The staff was also very efficient and pleasant. If you are expecting American style hotel rooms with lots of amenities, this hotel is not for you....

"Catania is a pretty gritty city with lots of graffiti but it grows on you. It is well sited for day trips to Etna etc. Marko has an excellent map and walking guide for key sights in Catania itself. Was a wealth of knowledge and of invaluable assistance."

"The property is in a residential area. Big gate and on the post , a small signage of the hotel’s name. We spoke to someone on the intercom at the gate, the gate then opens. The property has a rustic charm. Some reviews we’ve read mentioned that the property needs renovation or updates. We think they don’t, it’s part of the charm (for us anyway, who are just visiting Italy). We only stayed for one night so didn’t get to use their swimming pool but it looks okay and romantic in the evening....

"A small hotel on Mt Etna. Two brothers manage the family property and they are both great. The chef (Mateo) serves up delicious dinners. You should know that it is an hour or so from any village. It is about 25 minutes from the main area at the top of Etna and close to amazing country (Etna’s slopes are like nothing I have ever seen). So a wonderful little hotel. Highly recommend it. "

"The place was amazing as it was very clean, modern and close to all that Catania has to offer. Anna was a great host during our time. As a reminder this is a B&B so there is not staff on hand but Anna made herself available at any time. Highly recommend!"

"I really loved Castiglione di Sicilia - the town is perched on top of a crest of mountain and looks amazing as you are driving in. This seemed like quite a small town with lots of older folk in their older fiats and renaults, or sitting on street corners for a coffee or drink. Cento Tari Guest House was lovely - very well presented, and cosy and the hosts were lovely at checkin and at breakfast. "I was there October 20 to the 23. It’s worth the nightly rate. The town of Naxos is just down the street. Interesting for a one day visit. I experienced far better beaches. The staff are very friendly and of assistance. The pictures of the vistas from the hotel are not accurate. You can’t see much from the hotel. On balance if you are visiting Naxos, it’s worth the rate."
